Fourth Prahar: 3:41 AM – 6:48 AM (February 27)

The fast ends during the Parana time, which is from 6:48 AM to 8:54 AM on February 27.

  • Lord Shiva’s favourite is sacred belpatra leaves.
  • Used water and milk on the Shiva Lingam.
  • Sankh used his five holy ingredients along with the Moon called panchamrit.
  • Sandal paste is first applied onto the Lingam.
  • Holy flowers genda, chameli, hibiscus, and lotus.
  • Bhang, Dhatura, and Holy Bael fruit.
  • Incense sticks and diyas.

The Connection Between Lord Shiva and Lord Krishna

The Srimad Bhagavatam also says:

Apart from stating, “As the Ganga is supreme among rivers and Lord Krishna is supreme among deities”, it goes on to say, “there is a similar analogy, among Vaishnavas, Lord Shiva is supreme.”
